120 Malay Movies Book Launch

Amir Muhammad was at HELP yesterday to launch and promote his latest book offering '120 Malay Movies'. Students filled up the theatrette to watch montages on old malay films and listen to Amir's comments on them. Many laughed and were amused by clips of these humorous films as most young people may not have seen most of this movies which were shot from the 40s to the 70s. Amir then gave his thoughts on these films in a unconventional yet witty way. You could tell that he had a lot of appreciation for films made during that time. The talk was then followed by a Q&A session between Amir and the audience which sparked a lot of interesting questions being asked by students. Many students also took this opportunity to purchase the book as well as get it signed by Amir.
